This was one of the first plants I added to the plot in front of the house. It's right in back of the Japanese red maple, so it usually blooms longer and slightly later than the others. I'm not typically a pink person, but these appeal to me. Mom is always trying to pink up my garden by giving me pink blooming plants. This year, she gave me a small bright pink azelea. I've kept it in the house until it no longer bloomed, then planted it near the pink carnation that should be blooming in a week or two. Mom gave me that plant as well, so they should keep each other company.
